Maggie and George traveled many miles together after their kids grew up and George started driving a truck. In retirement, they kept busy helping out on the farm and checking in on their neighbors. Going to pick up parts was always a good trip for them, usually with a stop at Kentucky Fried Chicken or Dairy Queen along the way.

Maggie loved cooking for her family, especially a big pot of chicken and dumplings. Her homemade yeast rolls were always the biggest hit at family reunions. She also loved working in her garden, growing beautiful flowers that she enjoyed sharing with her friends and family.

She was a member of Liberty Congregational Methodist Church.  George and Maggie attended Mountain View church until he was injured in an accident in 2018.  Maggie joined George as a resident of StoneBridge of Marble Hill after the accident. Residents and staff at the facility quickly became family to them.
