Teresa Belle (Reitzel) Upchurch

Teresa Belle Upchurch, 68, passed away peacefully at her home on August 14, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones. Teresa was born on February 13, 1958, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, to Arlene and Claude Reitzel. On May 26, 1984, Teresa married Samuel Upchurch, with whom she shared more than 42 years of marriage.

Teresa’s greatest legacy lives on through the family she loved. She is survived by her husband, Samuel Upchurch; her four daughters, Leah (Jeana) Terry of Marble Hill, Nylah Upchurch of Marble Hill, Nyhlee Upchurch of Marble Hill, and Alyssa Upchurch of Marble Hill; and her three sons, Timothy Upchurch of Marble Hill, Uriah (Justin Nelson) Upchurch of Cape Girardeau, and Jared Overman of Glen Allen.

She is also survived by her five grandchildren, Thomas Robbins, Brianna Robbins, Devin Robbins, Bryson Overman, and Weston Upchurch; three great-granddaughters, Tatum Ellis, Raelyn Lacy and Rynleigh Lacy and three siblings, Regina Schmidt, Steven Reitzel, and Olanda Schumer.

Teresa was preceded in death by her parents, Arleen and Claude Reitzel, and her sister, Brenda Barnett.

Teresa will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her. Her memory will live on through her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, and the many lives she touched throughout her 68 years.

Though her absence leaves an immeasurable void, the love she gave, the family she helped build, and the memories created throughout her life will remain with those who loved her forever.

Services will be held at Pendergrass Funeral Home in Marble Hill, MO on Saturday, August 22, 2026. Visitation will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., with the funeral service beginning at 6:00 p.m.
